Terms of Service for Ultimate Envelopes

Effective Date: January 1, 2026

Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) carefully before using the Ultimate Envelopes Google Sheets add-on (“the Add-on,” “the Service”).

1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing, accessing, or using Ultimate Envelopes, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Add-on.

2. Description of Service

Ultimate Envelopes is a comprehensive envelope budgeting system built on Google Sheets that leverages Tiller for data aggregation. The Service:

Provides envelope budgeting functionality within Google Sheets
Integrates with Tiller Money for automated transaction data
Operates entirely within Google Sheets
Processes your financial data to help you manage budgets using the envelope method
Does not store your data on external servers beyond Google’s infrastructure

Note: Tiller Money is a separate third-party service. You must have an active Tiller subscription to use Ultimate Envelopes’ full functionality. Ultimate Envelopes is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to Tiller Money.

3. User Accounts and Access

Account Requirements

You must have a valid Google account to use the Add-on
You must have an active Tiller Money subscription for data aggregation features
You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account and Tiller account

Authorized Use

You may use Ultimate Envelopes for:

Personal financial management
Household budgeting
Small business expense tracking
Educational purposes

4. Permissions and Data Access

By installing the Add-on, you grant Ultimate Envelopes permission to:

Access the current Google Sheet you are working in
Read and modify spreadsheet data to provide budgeting functionality
Access financial transaction data provided by Tiller in your spreadsheet
Display custom menus and sidebars within Google Sheets
Perform calculations and updates to your envelope budget categories

These permissions are required for the Add-on to function. You may revoke these permissions at any time through your Google Account settings.

Financial Data: While the Add-on accesses financial data in your spreadsheet, it does not transmit this data to external servers. All processing happens within Google Sheets.

5. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

Use the Add-on in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
Maintain an active and properly configured Tiller Money account
Not use the Add-on for any unlawful, harmful, or malicious purpose
Not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Add-on
Not interfere with or disrupt the functionality of the Add-on
Not use the Add-on to violate the rights of others
Maintain accurate and current information in your Google account
Ensure the accuracy of your budget allocations and financial decisions
Back up your spreadsheet data regularly

6. Prohibited Uses

You may NOT use Ultimate Envelopes to:

Violate any local, state, national, or international law
Infringe on intellectual property rights of others
Transmit viruses, malware, or other malicious code
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users’ data
Use automated systems to access the Service in ways that send more requests than a human could reasonably produce
Resell, redistribute, or sublicense the Add-on
Manage finances for illegal activities
Violate Tiller Money’s terms of service

7. Third-Party Dependencies

Tiller Money

Ultimate Envelopes relies on Tiller Money for transaction data aggregation. You acknowledge that:

Tiller Money is a separate, independent service
You must maintain your own Tiller subscription
Ultimate Envelopes is not responsible for Tiller’s service availability, accuracy, or pricing
Changes to Tiller’s service may affect Ultimate Envelopes functionality
You must comply with Tiller Money’s Terms of Service
Tiller Money’s data feed delays or errors are beyond our control

Google Services

Ultimate Envelopes operates within Google Sheets and relies on Google’s infrastructure. Your use is also subject to:

We are not responsible for Google’s services or any issues arising from Google’s platform.

8. Financial Disclaimer

IMPORTANT: Ultimate Envelopes is a budgeting tool, not financial advice.

The Add-on provides budgeting functionality but does not provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice
You are solely responsible for your financial decisions
We do not guarantee the accuracy of calculations, though we strive for accuracy
You should verify all budget calculations and financial data
Consult with qualified financial professionals for financial advice
We are not responsible for financial losses resulting from your use of the Add-on
The envelope budgeting method may not be suitable for all financial situations

9. Intellectual Property

Ownership

Ultimate Envelopes, including all code, design, graphics, and documentation, is owned by the developer and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

License

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Add-on for its intended purpose.

Your Content

You retain all rights to the financial data and content you create or process using the Add-on. We do not claim ownership of your spreadsheet data, budget allocations, or financial information.

10. Service Availability

No Guarantee of Uptime

The Service is provided “as is” and may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time
We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation
We may perform maintenance that temporarily affects availability
Tiller service interruptions may affect functionality

Updates and Changes

We reserve the right to:

Modify or update the Add-on at any time
Add or remove features
Change these Terms (with notice to users)
Adjust pricing for future premium features (if applicable)

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE ADD-ON IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

Warranties of merchantability
Fitness for a particular purpose
Non-infringement
Accuracy, reliability, or completeness of budgeting calculations
That the Service will meet your financial management needs
That the Service will be error-free or uninterrupted
That financial data from Tiller will be accurate or timely
That using the envelope budgeting method will improve your financial situation

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
We are not liable for any financial losses, including but not limited to: overdraft fees, late payment fees, investment losses, or lost savings opportunities
We are not liable for any loss of data, profits, revenue, or business opportunities
We are not liable for damages arising from your use or inability to use the Add-on
We are not liable for errors in budget calculations or financial data
We are not liable for issues caused by Tiller Money’s service
Our total liability shall not exceed $50 USD or the amount you paid for the Service (if any), whichever is greater

This limitation applies even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Ultimate Envelopes and its developer from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

Your use of the Add-on
Your financial decisions based on the Add-on’s output
Your violation of these Terms
Your violation of any rights of others
Your violation of applicable laws
Your violation of Tiller Money’s terms of service

14. Data Backup and Loss

YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR BACKING UP YOUR SPREADSHEET DATA.

We strongly recommend making regular copies of your budget spreadsheet
Use Google Sheets’ version history feature to track changes
Export your data periodically to other formats
We are not responsible for data loss due to Google Sheets issues, user error, or any other cause

15. Termination

By You

You may stop using the Add-on at any time by:

Uninstalling it from Google Sheets
Revoking permissions through your Google Account settings

Your spreadsheet data will remain intact after uninstalling.

By Us

We reserve the right to:

Terminate or suspend your access immediately for violation of these Terms
Discontinue the Service at any time with or without notice
Remove the Add-on from the Google Workspace Marketplace

Effect of Termination

Upon termination:

Your right to use the Add-on immediately ceases
You must uninstall the Add-on
Your spreadsheet data remains yours and accessible
Provisions that should survive termination (including disclaimers and limitations of liability) will remain in effect

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information.

We do not access your bank account information
All financial data processing occurs within your Google Sheet

17. Dispute Resolution

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Informal Resolution

Before filing any formal claim, you agree to contact us at support@ultimateenvelopes.com to attempt to resolve the dispute informally.

Arbitration

Any disputes that cannot be resolved informally shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

Class Action Waiver

You agree to resolve disputes with us on an individual basis and waive any right to participate in class action lawsuits or class-wide arbitration.

18. General Provisions

Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Ultimate Envelopes regarding the Service.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect.

Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.

Assignment

You may not assign or transfer these Terms. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.

No Agency

Nothing in these Terms creates any agency, partnership, joint venture, or employment relationship.

19. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective when posted on this page with an updated effective date.

Material changes will be communicated to users through:

Notice on our website

Continued use of the Add-on after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
